We are adding an on line payment option to our PRIMO entry system and we should be ready to open entries to this meet tomorrow Thursday 26th May. This year the Bertie Quinn/IMC meet will take place in Tullamore between one o’clock and two o’clock on Bank Holiday Monday 6th June. This is the time allocated to this meet as there is another event on the track on the same day. BUT we will pack quite a lot into this one hour and for those athletes who remember our annual presence at the National Schools, you will know that the quality of the races will be high. This year we will host three men’s 800m races, one female 800m race, a 1500 men’s race and a 3k. The timing of each race is dependent on the pacemakers and the rest between each race for them. Entries will close as soon as each race fills up so we recommend that you enter as soon as possible. The max in each 800 will be 10 so this event will likely be closed first. For field eventers there will be a shot putt and a long jump. No pre entry needed just show up on the day. PLEASE NOTE.
The IMC goes to considerable lengths and research to put all athletes into an appropriate race. This process is based on a number of factors including recent performances (especially at IMC races), potential performance, requirement to achieve a qualifying standard etc. We know there may be disappointments but PLEASE BE AWARE that we will not enter into any correspondence regarding grading at this stage. At IMC meets races always start at the time stated in the Timetable (barring a disaster!!). There is no Call Room in operation so just make sure you are at the appropriate start line at the time stated. We will start the race regardless!! We wish all athletes well and hope you enjoy the meet. If you have entered and your name is not listed please email irishmilersclub@gmail.com quoting your order number.
